These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the website Vinnana.is and all services provided through it. By registering as a user or using the services of Vinnana, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full.
Acceptance of these Terms is a prerequisite for using the service.
Vinnana does not verify whether users are legally competent, financially independent, or otherwise capable of entering into agreements, nor whether they possess the necessary experience or understanding to use the service responsibly.
Vinnana: The Vinnana system, the website Vinnana.is, and Vinnana ehf. as the owner and operator of the service.
User: An individual, company, or contractor who uses Vinnana to advertise or purchase services.
The Service: A platform for publishing advertisements where users offer work or request services.
Profile: Information provided by the user about themselves on Vinnana.is.
Use of the service must be limited to lawful and appropriate activities.
Users are personally responsible for all content they publish on Vinnana.is, including advertisements, images, and messages. Users must treat others with respect and courtesy in all communications.
It is prohibited to:
publish illegal, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content
advertise illegal goods or services
provide false or misleading information
Users are responsible for ensuring that the information in their profiles is accurate and kept up to date.
Users must register using their real name and provide accurate personal information. Vinnana reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if false or misleading information is suspected.
If Vinnana becomes aware of potentially unlawful conduct, it reserves the right to report such conduct to the appropriate authorities where applicable.
Uploading images is optional. If images are uploaded, they must:
be a clear image of the user, or
relate directly to the user’s professional activity
Inappropriate or offensive images may be removed without notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Vinnana reserves the right to display user advertisements, in part or in full, on Vinnana.is and on social media platforms for marketing purposes. Users who do not wish their content to be used in this way must notify Vinnana in writing at vinnana@vinnana.is.
Reviews must be based on genuine, first-hand experience. If a review is found to be misleading, unfair, or not based on personal experience, Vinnana reserves the right to remove it, in whole or in part.
Vinnana may use reviews for promotional and marketing purposes. Reviews reflect the opinions of users and not those of Vinnana.
Vinnana is not a party to agreements between users. All transactions and agreements are entered into solely between the users involved.
Vinnana:
does not guarantee the quality or performance of services offered by users
is not liable for any financial or non-financial loss arising from interactions between users
does not pre-screen or approve user-generated content
Users use the service entirely at their own risk.
Users who provide services are solely responsible for declaring income, paying taxes, and fulfilling all legal obligations to tax authorities and other regulators.
Vinnana offers subscription plans according to the pricing displayed on the website.
Subscriptions are billed monthly
Subscriptions may be cancelled through user account settings or by email
Cancellation must be submitted at least 3 days before the next billing date
Payments are processed through an authorized payment service provider. Vinnana does not store users’ payment card details.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances.
Vinnana reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts immediately in the event of a breach of these Terms, without prior notice.
Users may terminate their account at any time. Upon termination, advertisements will be removed and personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Vinnana shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, technical failures, or other force majeure events.
Vinnana reserves the right to amend these Terms. Users will be notified of material changes by email with at least 7 days’ notice.
These Terms are governed by Icelandic law. Any disputes shall be resolved by the Icelandic courts, with legal venue in Kópavogur, Iceland.
Vinnana is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data on Vinnana.is.
Personal data is processed in accordance with Act No. 90/2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The data processed may include:
name, national ID number, email address, phone number
IP address, browser type, operating system
website usage data
Personal data is used solely for operating and improving the service and is not shared with third parties unless required by law.
Users have the right to:
access their personal data
request correction
request deletion
object to processing
file a complaint with the Icelandic Data Protection Authority
Vinnana uses cookies to improve user experience and analyze website usage. Users may disable cookies through their browser settings.
